CHEMICAL PEELING

The controlled damage of the outer layers of the skin with chemical agents is called as chemical peeling. Various acidic and basic agents are applied to the skin for peeling.

Factors related to the skin allowing wound healing in the area of damage caused by chemical peeling leads to the formation of new skin. While the new skin is formed, the collagen and elastic fiber structure which provides flexibility to the skin are renewed. With the application of chemical peeling, softening of the lines, tightening of the skin and improvement of the structure give a rejuvenated appearance to the skin.

Chemical peeling is used in the treatment of skin rejuvenation, removal of acne scars, and treatment of blemish. Chemical peeling can be applied to blemish caused by aging or sun exposure and due to pregnancy.
